In summer, whether near the sea or lake, there is abundant sunshine and people from all over the world come here to enjoy the sunbathing.

Sauna is a feature of Finland and there is a sauna contest every year. Sauna lovers from different countries would join the crazy contest to feel the heat ۱۱۰ °C and challenge the limits of their own. For audiences, they are not free. They usually bring their self-made instruments, knock and shout crazy before the game. The most popular rock songs are broadcasting, children are dancing with the songs and people, whether contesters or spectators, are talking with each other joyfully. After the match start, the atmosphere at here began to become more and more warmer. No matter how long you insisted, the warm applauses will for you. Besides the sauna contest, there are large sauna rooms in every hotel. Many people also have their own sauna room at home. In a word, sauna has been fully integrated into the Finnish life.

Despite Finland is a small country, but Helsinki, the capital of Finland is still a shopping paradise. The price index in Helsinki is so high that the new arrivals turn into the final sale just in a few days. After shopping some supermarkets, the flea market in Helsinki is worth shopping, many wonderful goods can be found in the second-hand market and above all they are very cheap.

I learned about Lithuania for the first time from my friend who has just arrived back from his vacation in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. He was full of pleasant impressions and affectionately described it as &#۸۲۲۰;a chocolate box city of three-storey baroque buildings&#۸۲۲۱;. At that time I didn’t know anything about the country, except that Lithuania is one of the Baltic States, which heroically gained its independence back from the former Soviet block in ۱۹۹۱.

I was looking for my next holiday destination and instead of returning back to my favourite places I decided to give Vilnius a go, which sounded just as charming and romantic. I was also looking for something new, a refreshing break from some of Europe’s mass tourism destinations. In a couple of weeks I flew to Vilnius.

My first impression of the town was pretty, homely and somehow unpretentiously elegant. It isn’t exactly for those who are looking for a big turbulent metropolis city, which it isn’t. Vilnius’ charm lies in its medieval roots. Vilnius Old Town is one of the largest surviving medieval old towns in Eastern Europe and because of its numerous historic buildings it is classified as a World Heritage site.

According to the history, in the Middle Ages Vilnius was a blossoming city and one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The city was built during different centuries, therefore you will find a blend of architecture with baroque and gothic dominating. The whitewashed Vilnius Cathedral and its belfry, medieval defence fortress, the intricate Gothic Church of St. Anne’s, to name just a few, creates a postcard-perfect town.

I found Vilnius Old Town undoubtedly the most charming part of the city. Quaint shops and cosy cafes set amongst a blend of intricate spires, domes and towers are some of the first images that come to my mind. I especially loved exploring the atmospheric lanes of the back streets, where you can absorb the true spirit of medieval Lithuania.

An important hub, this capital city of Hungary is one of the largest political, cultural, commercial and industrial centers in Europe. The numerous Budapest attractions include some of the finest architecture, art houses, monuments, palaces and museums.I also loved its charming restaurants and cafes tucked away in the pretty courtyards. Some of the restaurants are set in the old atmospheric cellars and carry medieval deco themes. The food is usually of a high quality and well presented and is inexpensive for most European travellers. Overall the city provides high standard restaurants, hotels and entertainment, yet everything here is affordable at low prices in comparison with Western European countries, which makes Vilnius even more appealing.

And last but definitely not the least, the laid back atmosphere and the welcoming attitude of the locals make the city even more pleasant. Especially in the warm season the people of Vilnius love to spend as much time as possible outdoors strolling along the Old Town streets and sit at the lovely pavement cafes. Most of them are welcoming and friendly to foreigners. Especially younger people with the majority speaking English will gladly assist you with directions, help you if you are lost and sometimes even recommend to you the best places in town.

All in all Vilnius is a charming place to experience some living history, wandering among the medieval cobblestone streets; enjoy its diverse dining scene and elegant bars and also get to know its welcoming people. The city is a refreshing, not fully discovered yet and memorable destination.

At the Benaki Museum, you can see private collection of jewellery and weapons and some of the most wonderful collections of Greek art.

Athens is full with coffee shops bar and clubs therefore; you will not have problems finding a place where you can party all night. Clubs usually open around midnight but before that, you can spend your time in Psyrri the up and coming social centre in Athens.
If you decide to visit Athens, you should better do it in autumn or spring because during the summer is extremely hot and dry. Getting around the city is quite easy due to the many transportation means. If you prefer to avoid agglomerated buses or metros, you can take a cab it is very cheap.

You can chose from a vide selection of hotels and champing places. If you have, some money put aside you should stay at Plaka hotel but remember to book a room in advance. It is not the most expensive hotel but it is situated in the middle of the tourist district.

Many times I&#۸۲۱۷;ve heard people debating:

Should we focus in a particular niche of items when selling in eBay? Or should we expand the scale with as many diversified items as possible?

Before going into the discussion about eBay, let&#۸۲۱۷;s take a look at the real world first.

When you go shopping in a mall, trying to look for some decoration candles. You shop around and find a shop specializing in hundreds of candle items. No wonder you&#۸۲۱۷;ll dash in see what interest you. However, you may not notice that a gift shop just next to the candle shop also sells quite a number of pretty candles good for decoration. Seems like there&#۸۲۱۷;s an obvious advantage for a specialized shop, focusing in particular niche, isn&#۸۲۱۷;t it?

Not really. We have an assumption that the specialized shop hits the demand well and therefore, it can absorb a lot of sales. But how big is the demand for candles? Is it good enough to support the operations of the shop? Are there many people looking for candles throughout the whole year? Or is the demand seasonal? Is it more vulnerable if selling one type of item only?

How about the more diversified gift shop? It may not catch the demand for decoration candles well. But they may have attracted a lot more of customers who don&#۸۲۱۷;t have a very strict shopping target. They may not know what exactly they want until they walk around the shop. But what a big deal if the customer goes in a non-niche shop? If he thinks the item is good and reasonable, if he believes the seller is trustable based on the feedback profile, he&#۸۲۱۷;s very likely to buy.

So you can see, the advantage of attracting particular demand for a niche market in the real world may not apply in eBay. However, the advantage of a diversified shop in the real world can exist in eBay on the contrary.

Image that a candle buyer clicks in a listing of candle which interests him. Then he finds some cross promotional boxes showing some other interesting items. He may keep clicking and see what he can buy from the same seller at the same time, probably with certain combined shipping discount. Just the same as the real world.
